Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Target by Tomory Dodge was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 22,680.00 (€ 19,313.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tomory Dodge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cotton Mouth in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Target von Tomory Dodge wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 19.313,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tomory Dodge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cotton Mouth im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.718,85).
