Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Christies held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Mrs. Jefferson by Gokita Tomoo. Here, the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 125,000.00 (€ 108,206.37). Admittedly, works by Gokita Tomoo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Be Just Like Family in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,076,000.00 (€ 965,108.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mrs. Jefferson von Gokita Tomoo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 125.000,00 (€ 108.206,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gokita Tomoo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Be Just Like Family im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.076.000,00 (€ 965.108,98).
