Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work A Footpath by Gokita Tomoo for GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,940.59). This price was achieved in the auction From Japan with Love at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gokita Tomoo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Be Just Like Family in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,076,000.00 (€ 965,108.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Footpath von Gokita Tomoo für GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.940,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion From Japan with Love bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gokita Tomoo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Be Just Like Family im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.076.000,00 (€ 965.108,98).
