Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Dress Rehearsal by Gokita Tomoo. The price achieved of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 182,204.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gokita Tomoo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Be Just Like Family in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,076,000.00 (€ 965,108.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dress Rehearsal von Gokita Tomoo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 182.204,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gokita Tomoo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Be Just Like Family im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.076.000,00 (€ 965.108,98).
