The set of 10 volumes comprising lithographs, screenprints and letterpress in colours, with text by William Hurrell Mallock, 1970, each justification page signed in ink or pencil and numbered variously from the edition of 100, each image initialled in pencil (one sheet in Vol. 1 lacking initals), with an additional supplement folio, loose (as issued) in the original coloured boxes with the artist's name, title and volume number on the spin
each overall: 22 by 15cm.; 8 by 5 7/8 in.

Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tom Phillips achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2016. In the Made in Britain auction, the work A Humument sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,472.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Phillips have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Berlin Wall with German Grass and Skies II in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,852.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tom Phillips erzielte im März 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit A Humument für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.472,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Phillips auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Berlin Wall with German Grass and Skies II im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.852,22).
