Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Skin Game by Tom Phillips was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. The price achieved of EUR 4,032.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Phillips have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Berlin Wall with German Grass and Skies II in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,852.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Skin Game von Tom Phillips kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.032,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Phillips auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Berlin Wall with German Grass and Skies II im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.852,22).
