It achieved a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,105.87), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Phillips achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Berlin Wall with German Grass and Skies II in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,852.22).

Die Arbeit German Grass Under German Skies von Tom Phillips kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.105,87) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Phillips erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Berlin Wall with German Grass and Skies II im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.852,22).
