Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ohne Titel (Self-Portrait in Front of Canvas). by Tom Blackwell was auctioned at VAN HAM in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,970.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Blackwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Exiting Celine. Monaco" in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 193,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Self-Portrait in Front of Canvas). von Tom Blackwell im Dezember 2021 bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.970,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Blackwell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Exiting Celine. Monaco" im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 193.500,00.
