The price achieved of CAD 462,500.00 (€ 354,767.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Hillside On Big Cauchon Lake - Algonquin Park is the most expensive artwork by John Thomson that we have observed at auctions so far.
