Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Come Out Screaming (American Dreams) by Thaddeus Strode for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,647.19). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Thaddeus Strode have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Let Sleeping Gods Lie (The Eggs Cracked) in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 18,956.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Come Out Screaming (American Dreams) von Thaddeus Strode für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.647,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thaddeus Strode auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Let Sleeping Gods Lie (The Eggs Cracked) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 18.956,07).
