Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Thaddeus Strode could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open/ NYC auction, the work Behind changed hands for USD 62.00 (€ 56.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thaddeus Strode achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Let Sleeping Gods Lie (The Eggs Cracked) in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 18,956.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Thaddeus Strode konnte im Juli 2015 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open/ NYC wechselte die Arbeit Behind für USD 62,00 (€ 56,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thaddeus Strode erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Let Sleeping Gods Lie (The Eggs Cracked) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.200,00 (€ 18.956,07).
