Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Kage B (Shadow B) by Yamaguchi Takeo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 134,509.19), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kage B (Shadow B) von Yamaguchi Takeo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 134.509,19) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
