Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Setsu (Joint) by Yamaguchi Takeo. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,323,000.00 (€ 141,647.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Setsu (Joint) von Yamaguchi Takeo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.323.000,00 (€ 141.647,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
