Auction result misses estimated price range
In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work Kukei Mie (Threefold Rectangle) by Yamaguchi Takeo for HKD 604,800.00 (€ 73,124.72). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Day Auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 700,000.00 – 1,200,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Kukei Mie (Threefold Rectangle) von Yamaguchi Takeo für HKD 604.800,00 (€ 73.124,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 700.000,00 – 1.200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
