It achieved a price of HKD 56,700.00 (€ 6,159.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).

Die Arbeit Ookawashima Setting von Yamaguchi Takeo kam im Juni 2021 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 56.700,00 (€ 6.159,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
