Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Tetsu (Removal) by Yamaguchi Takeo for HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,266.49). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Tetsu (Removal) von Yamaguchi Takeo für HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.266,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Takeo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ho (Crawl) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.450.000,00 (€ 1.478.082,19).
