Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ki by Yamaguchi Takeo was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 478,800.00 (€ 50,503.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Takeo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ho (Crawl) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 12,450,000.00 (€ 1,478,082.19).
