Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Tadeusz Kantor was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 1,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,007.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Tadeusz Kantor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Emballages, objets, personnages n. 5 in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 247,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tadeusz Kantor kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.007,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tadeusz Kantor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Emballages, objets, personnages n. 5 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 247.500,00.
