This artwork by Tadeusz Kantor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year. In the Modern Art + Design auction, the work "Emballage - Envellope V" sold for SEK 780,000.00 (€ 67,208.56) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tadeusz Kantor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Emballages, objets, personnages n. 5, which sold at auction in December 2018 for EUR 247,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tadeusz Kantor erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art + Design wurde die Arbeit "Emballage - Envellope V" für SEK 780.000,00 (€ 67.208,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 400.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tadeusz Kantor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Emballages, objets, personnages n. 5 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für EUR 247.500,00 versteigert wurde.
