Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Tadeusz Kantor was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,008.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Tadeusz Kantor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Emballages, objets, personnages n. 5 in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 247,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tadeusz Kantor wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.008,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tadeusz Kantor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Emballages, objets, personnages n. 5 im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 247.500,00.
