This artwork by Sylvia Plimack Mangold achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work 22 1/2 inches of Floorboard sold for USD 53,750.00 (€ 45,500.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sylvia Plimack Mangold - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Floor With Light At 10:30 Am, which sold at auction in March 2018 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 101,461.04).
