Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sudjana Kerton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Harvest sold for HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 227,658.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 750,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sudjana Kerton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Village Life in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 13,240,000.00 (€ 1,231,405.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sudjana Kerton erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Harvest für HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 227.658,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 750.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sudjana Kerton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Village Life im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.240.000,00 (€ 1.231.405,91).
