Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Warhol Flowers by Elaine Sturtevant was sold in the 21st Century Evening Sale auction at Christies in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 976,460.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elaine Sturtevant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Warhol Diptych in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,093,000.00 (€ 4,632,526.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Warhol Flowers von Elaine Sturtevant wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Evening Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 976.460,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elaine Sturtevant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Warhol Diptych im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.093.000,00 (€ 4.632.526,83).
