Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Closed Circuit by Stuart Davis was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,062.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stuart Davis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rue Lipp in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 6,847,200.00 (€ 6,047,160.65).

Die Arbeit Closed Circuit von Stuart Davis kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 88.062,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stuart Davis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rue Lipp im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.847.200,00 (€ 6.047.160,65).
