Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Those from Away: Plate II by Steven Sorman was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 312.50 (€ 219.78). Admittedly, works by Steven Sorman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Change of heart" in May 2010 with an auction result of SEK 15,000.00 (€ 1,555.91).
