In September 2013 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work POEMS XIV by Steven Shearer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,700.54), 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Steven Shearer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hash in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 148,617.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im September 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit POEMS XIV von Steven Shearer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.700,54) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Steven Shearer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hash im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 148.617,21).
