In August 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Six portrait studies of Adele de Havilland (one illustrated) by Stephen Ward. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,261.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Stephen Ward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mandy Rice-Davies in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,078.33).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im August 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Six portrait studies of Adele de Havilland (one illustrated) von Stephen Ward zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.261,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Stephen Ward erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mandy Rice-Davies im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.078,33).
