Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work Portrait Of Miss Tessa Pendagast; Six Portrait Studies Of Adele De Havilland by Stephen Ward. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,736.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Stephen Ward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mandy Rice-Davies in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,078.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Miss Tessa Pendagast; Six Portrait Studies Of Adele De Havilland von Stephen Ward zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.736,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Ward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mandy Rice-Davies im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.078,33).
