Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Yevgeny Ivanov by Stephen Ward was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in December 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,057.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Stephen Ward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mandy Rice-Davies in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,078.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Yevgeny Ivanov von Stephen Ward wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.057,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephen Ward auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mandy Rice-Davies im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.078,33).
