The work "S'kanal II" (Canal II) by Sten Eklund was sold in the Contemporary, Stockholm auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2011. It achieved a price of SEK 98,000.00 (€ 10,781.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 23%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sten Eklund - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Kullahusets hemlighet" (Kullahussviten), which sold at auction in October this year for SEK 300,000.00 (€ 25,406.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit "S'kanal II" (Canal II) von Sten Eklund wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary, Stockholm bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 98.000,00 (€ 10.781,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 23%. Für andere Arbeiten von Sten Eklund mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Kullahusets hemlighet" (Kullahussviten) beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für SEK 300.000,00 (€ 25.406,89) versteigert wurde.
