Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sten Eklund could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work "Transporthall" changed hands for SEK 47,000.00 (€ 4,414.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 50,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sten Eklund have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Kullahusets hemlighet" (Kullahussviten) in October this year with an auction result of SEK 300,000.00 (€ 25,406.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sten Eklund konnte im April 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit "Transporthall" für SEK 47.000,00 (€ 4.414,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sten Eklund auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Kullahusets hemlighet" (Kullahussviten) im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 300.000,00 (€ 25.406,89).
