Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Stenarna i muren II" by Sten Eklund was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 20,000.00 (€ 1,929.05). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sten Eklund achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Kullahusets hemlighet" (Kullahussviten) in October this year with an auction result of SEK 300,000.00 (€ 25,406.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Stenarna i muren II" von Sten Eklund im Oktober 2018 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 20.000,00 (€ 1.929,05) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sten Eklund erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Kullahusets hemlighet" (Kullahussviten) im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 300.000,00 (€ 25.406,89).
