Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Death is Not the End by Stefan Kürten was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,479.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stefan Kürten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Western Music (16-teilige Serie), which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 23,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Death is Not the End von Stefan Kürten kam im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.479,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Stefan Kürten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Western Music (16-teilige Serie) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 23.800,00 versteigert wurde.
