Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Stefan Kürten achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2018. In the First Open Online auction, the work Balcony sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,827.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Stefan Kürten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Western Music (16-teilige Serie), which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 23,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Stefan Kürten erzielte im September 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open Online wurde die Arbeit Balcony für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.827,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Stefan Kürten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Western Music (16-teilige Serie) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 23.800,00 versteigert wurde.
