Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work People Need to dream, it is Difficult to Trust by Squeak Carnwath was auctioned at Christies in Paris in October 2014. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,375.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Squeak Carnwath - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dress Memory, 1998, which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,376.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit People Need to dream, it is Difficult to Trust von Squeak Carnwath kam im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.375,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Squeak Carnwath mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dress Memory, 1998 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.376,10) versteigert wurde.
