Auction result well in line with expectations
The work It Is In, 1992 by Squeak Carnwath was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,561.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Squeak Carnwath - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dress Memory, 1998, which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,376.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit It Is In, 1992 von Squeak Carnwath kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.561,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Squeak Carnwath mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dress Memory, 1998 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.376,10) versteigert wurde.
