In May 2007 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Barcelona I (Institut de Cultura) 2003 by Spencer Tunick. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,299.86), 50% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Barcelona I (Institut de Cultura) 2003 the most expensive artwork by Spencer Tunick that we have observed at auctions so far.
