Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Spencer Tunick could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Pennsylvania 3 changed hands for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,156.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Spencer Tunick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Barcelona I (Institut de Cultura) 2003 in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,299.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Spencer Tunick konnte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Pennsylvania 3 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.156,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Spencer Tunick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Barcelona I (Institut de Cultura) 2003 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.299,86).
