Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Reclining Woman by Solomon Joseph Solomon. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,684.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Solomon Joseph Solomon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eve in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 975,000.00 (€ 819,465.46).
