Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Arthur Hacker by Solomon Joseph Solomon was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,409.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Solomon Joseph Solomon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eve in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 975,000.00 (€ 819,465.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Arthur Hacker von Solomon Joseph Solomon kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.409,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Solomon Joseph Solomon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eve im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 975.000,00 (€ 819.465,46).
