Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The life class by Solomon Joseph Solomon was sold in the British and European Art: Online auction at Christies in London in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,379.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Solomon Joseph Solomon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eve in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 975,000.00 (€ 819,465.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The life class von Solomon Joseph Solomon wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art: Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.379,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Solomon Joseph Solomon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eve im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 975.000,00 (€ 819.465,46).
