Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Henrietta Lowy Solomon, The Artist'S Sister by Solomon Joseph Solomon was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,140.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Solomon Joseph Solomon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eve in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 975,000.00 (€ 819,465.46).
