In June 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included this untitled work by Sofu Teshigahara. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,195.00 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sofu Teshigahara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Setsugetsu Ka - Snow Moon Flower (Hexaptych Folding Screens) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,290.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sofu Teshigahara zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.195,00 und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sofu Teshigahara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Setsugetsu Ka - Snow Moon Flower (Hexaptych Folding Screens) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.290,93).
