In December 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Post-War & Contemporary - Day Sale, which included the work Sans Titre by Sofu Teshigahara. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,400.00 73% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sofu Teshigahara have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Setsugetsu Ka - Snow Moon Flower (Hexaptych Folding Screens) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,290.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary - Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre von Sofu Teshigahara zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.400,00 und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sofu Teshigahara auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Setsugetsu Ka - Snow Moon Flower (Hexaptych Folding Screens) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.290,93).
