Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Wallobject" by Sirous Namazi was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,464.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sirous Namazi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Utan titel", 2002 in November 2010 with an auction result of SEK 130,000.00 (€ 14,210.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "Wallobject" von Sirous Namazi wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.464,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sirous Namazi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Utan titel", 2002 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 130.000,00 (€ 14.210,65).
