Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction The Althorp Attic Sale - Including the Spencer Carriages, which included the work All my own work thank you; Vite vite therese c'est la yacht des dockers!; and Claridges by Osbert Lancaster. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 687.50 (€ 826.64). Admittedly, works by Osbert Lancaster have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Washed Out in March 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,929.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Althorp Attic Sale - Including the Spencer Carriages durch, in der auch die Arbeit All my own work thank you; Vite vite therese c'est la yacht des dockers!; and Claridges von Osbert Lancaster zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 687,50 (€ 826,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Osbert Lancaster auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Washed Out im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.929,55).
