This artwork by David Muirhead Bone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2008. In the A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation auction, the work The Old Beggar, Glasgow sold for GBP 438.00 (€ 529.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Muirhead Bone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Soho Square, London in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,783.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Muirhead Bone erzielte im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A GREAT BRITISH COLLECTION: The pictures collected by Sir David and Lady Scott, sold to benefit the Finnis Scott Foundation wurde die Arbeit The Old Beggar, Glasgow für GBP 438,00 (€ 529,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Muirhead Bone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Soho Square, London im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.783,59).
