However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simone Leigh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stick, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 2,712,000.00 (€ 2,545,522.81).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 793.374,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Für andere Arbeiten von Simone Leigh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stick beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 2.712.000,00 (€ 2.545.522,81) versteigert wurde.
