Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Storage Depot for Power Station Jiyeh, from Sand’s Rock Resort, Lebanon by Simon Norfolk was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April 2021. It achieved a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,760.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Norfolk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Former Teahouse in a park next to the Afghan Exhibition of Economic and Social Achievements in the Shah Shahid district of Kabul, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,624.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.760,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon Norfolk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Former Teahouse in a park next to the Afghan Exhibition of Economic and Social Achievements in the Shah Shahid district of Kabul beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.624,78) versteigert wurde.
