Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,327.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shyamal Dutta Ray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 24,856.19).
